You know the subtle script logo. You know the Pro V1. But I’m willing to bet Titleist has more to offer your golf game than you realize.
What’s New With Titleist?
Not much. Just an overhaul of their golf balls and a new addition to T-Series irons.
- Golf ball alignment: The biggest thing you’ll notice when buying a Titleist golf ball now is the option for improved alignment. Titleist has recognized the popularity of alignment aids on golf balls and decided to go full steam ahead on the new design.
- T-150 irons: If you played Titleist irons before (and were fit properly), there’s a good chance you had a combo set of some sort. Maybe some T-100 short irons working into a couple T-200s toward the top of your set to give you more forgiveness on the longer, harder to hit, distance irons. Enter the T-150. It does exactly as the name suggests, bridges the gap between the 100 and 200 irons to eliminate the need for many to own those combo setups.

The Titleist Story
Like Kleenex is to tissues, Titleist is to golf balls.
Do they make other stuff? Yes. Do they make it well? Yes (arguably the best for some products). But the reputation was born and bred with the golf ball. That being said, the more impressive thing might be the fact that it’s still the most trusted golf ball brand on the market almost 100 years after its inception.
Raise your hand if you’ve ever blamed your equipment for a bad shot rather than your own poor play… Well, that’s exactly how the Titleist story begins. Starting in 1932, Phil Young blamed his poor putting on a lousy golf ball and decided it was his mission to give the golf world its first “titleist” quality ball.
Three years later, the world had the greatest golf ball that had ever been made. The secret? Every golf ball was x-rayed to check for core alignment. A practice that Titleist still practices to this day.
They have since moved on to other products in the golf world, but the golf ball is and always will be the pride and joy of the company.
Product Categories
I’ll admit, I didn’t even know Titleist made other golf products when I was growing up. I was made even more confused when I realized Vokey wedges and Scotty Cameron putters were also part of the Titleist family. Safe to say Titleist can do a lot of things extremely well.

Golf Balls
The gold standard in everything golf balls. There’s not much more to add here other than Titleist being the most-played brand of golf balls on the PGA Tour for over 50 years.
With that responsibility of excellence following them at every turn, the one thing that sets Titleist golf balls apart is their incredible attention to quality and consistency. You know every Titleist golf ball you play matches to the exact specifications that the designers set out for it. There is no deviation of manufacturing error. You’re going to get a good golf ball.
With that said here’s a rundown of some of the best Titleist golf balls out there.
- Pro V1: Best all around golf ball. If you’re new to the Titlesist family of golf balls, the Pro V1 best place to start.
- Pro V1x: Best for more spin. If you need a ball that launches a little higher and gives you more spin around the green, the Pro V1x is the golf ball for you.
- Pro V1x Left Dash: Best distance. The longest ball in the Titleist lineup, the Pro V1x Left Dash reaches new heights by minimizing spin and increasing firmness.
- AVX: Softest golf ball in the premium category. The AVX combines an incredibly soft feel with extremely low spin.

Golf Clubs
Arguably the most underrated category in the Titleist lineup. They might be known for making golf balls, but the precision and attention to detail carries over into their clubs.
- TSR Drivers: Not the name recognition of Callaway or Taylormade drivers, but plenty worthy of credit. Their 4 options ensure that one of them will
- T-Series Irons: If you haven’t hit a T-150 you need to stop reading and go launch ’em.
- Vokey Design Wedges: The single greatest assortment of loft and grind options. Any club for any golfer in any playing condition. If you haven’t played a Vokey, you haven’t played a wedge.
- Scotty Cameron Putters: Tiger’s favorite putter. Need I say more?
